UP Anganwadi Workers Get Rs 12,000 Honorarium, Rs 5 Lakh Health Cover

The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a welfare package for approximately 2.91 lakh Anganwadi workers and helpers, enhancing their financial security and working conditions. Effective September 2026, Anganwadi workers will receive Rs 12,000 monthly, up from Rs 8,000, and helpers will get Rs 6,000, up from Rs 4,000. The scheme also includes cashless medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh annually for workers, helpers, and their families. Additionally, financial assistance for an extra saree and the provision of smartphones are included to strengthen centre operations.

उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने लगभग 2.91 लाख आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं और सहायिकाओं के लिए एक कल्याणकारी पैकेज शुरू किया है, जिससे उनकी वित्तीय सुरक्षा और काम करने की स्थिति बेहतर होगी। सितंबर 2026 से प्रभावी, आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ताओं को ₹8,000 के बजाय ₹12,000 मासिक मिलेंगे, और सहायिकाओं को ₹4,000 के बजाय ₹6,000 मिलेंगे। इस योजना में कार्यकर्ताओं, सहायिकाओं और उनके परिवारों के लिए सालाना ₹5 लाख तक के कैशलेस इलाज की सुविधा भी शामिल है। इसके अलावा, केंद्र के संचालन को मजबूत करने के लिए अतिरिक्त साड़ी के लिए वित्तीय सहायता और स्मार्टफोन का प्रावधान भी शामिल है।
