Serbia Arrests Top Criminal Police Chief Over Abuse of Office Allegations

Serbian authorities have arrested Marko Kricak, the head of the criminal police directorate, and police commander Bosko Sekulovic on suspicion of abuse of office. The arrests are linked to an investigation into the murder of a suspected criminal figure in May. Veselin Milic, the former police chief, accused Kricak and Sekulovic of providing incomplete and false evidence to prosecutors. Kricak is considered a loyalist to former President Aleksandar Vucic and faced accusations of brutality during protests.
