India Exports Grow Fastest In Over Four Years

India's goods exports surged over 26% to $43.8 billion in August, marking the fastest expansion pace since June 2022. This growth was driven by strong performance in electronics, engineering goods, and petroleum products. Lower gold shipments helped moderate import growth to 14%, narrowing the trade deficit to a five-month low of $26.9 billion. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stated these figures reaffirm the growing strength of India's manufacturing sector and its expanding global footprint.

अगस्त में भारत के सामान निर्यात में 26% से ज़्यादा की बढ़ोतरी हुई, जो 43.8 अरब डॉलर तक पहुँच गया। यह जून 2022 के बाद सबसे तेज़ रफ़्तार है। इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स, इंजीनियरिंग और पेट्रोलियम उत्पादों ने इसमें अहम भूमिका निभाई। सोने के कम आयात से इंपोर्ट ग्रोथ 14% पर रही, जिससे ट्रेड डेफिसिट घटकर 26.9 अरब डॉलर हो गया, जो पाँच महीने का सबसे निचला स्तर है।
