गोंडा का रहने वाला अमित कुमार मौर्या दुबई में छह महीने की जेल की सज़ा काटने के बाद फंसा हुआ है। यह सज़ा शराब से जुड़े एक मामले में हुई थी। वह भारत वापस नहीं आ पा रहा है क्योंकि उस पर लगाया गया 25 लाख रुपये का जुर्माना भरने में असमर्थ है। उसके पिता ने विदेश राज्य मंत्री से उसे वापस लाने में मदद की अपील की है। अमित चार साल से अपने परिवार से दूर है और अपनी माँ के आखिरी पल में भी शामिल नहीं हो सका था। मंत्रालय को दस्तावेज़ भेज दिए गए हैं और दुबई के अधिकारियों से संपर्क कर समाधान निकालने के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं।
