BMC has issued attendance notices to 100 doctors across its five medical colleges following an inspection of biometric records. The inspection revealed prolonged absences and irregular attendance, with some doctors allegedly leaving for private practice during duty hours. Three senior medical teachers at KEM Hospital have applied for voluntary retirement after receiving these notices. BMC officials stated that attendance will be closely monitored to ensure doctors are available for patients during the mandated 9 am to 4 pm schedule.

बीएमसी ने बायोमेट्रिक रिकॉर्ड के निरीक्षण के बाद अपने पांचों मेडिकल कॉलेजों के 100 डॉक्टरों को हाजिरी के संबंध में नोटिस जारी किए हैं। निरीक्षण में लंबे समय तक अनुपस्थिति और अनियमित हाजिरी का पता चला, जिसमें कुछ डॉक्टर कथित तौर पर ड्यूटी के घंटों के दौरान निजी प्रैक्टिस के लिए चले जाते थे। केईएम अस्पताल के तीन वरिष्ठ मेडिकल शिक्षकों ने ये नोटिस मिलने के बाद स्वैच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन किया है। बीएमसी अधिकारियों ने कहा कि डॉक्टरों की उपस्थिति पर बारीकी से नजर रखी जाएगी ताकि यह सुनिश्चित हो सके कि वे सुबह 9 बजे से शाम 4 बजे तक मरीजों के लिए उपलब्ध रहें।
