Pune Airport Adds Just One New Domestic Flight Amidst Global Tensions

Pune airport's winter schedule, effective this Sunday until March 27, 2027, will see only one new domestic flight to Bhubaneswar operated by IndiGo. Geopolitical tensions, high fuel prices, and operational constraints are cited as reasons for airlines tightening their belts. While another airline will operate a flight to Kolkata, it is not a new route. Many airlines had considered international flights but shelved plans due to the West Asia conflict. Airport officials are optimistic that more flights may be introduced gradually as conditions improve.
