US Dollar Index Reaches Seven-Week High

The US dollar index has surged past the 100 mark, reaching a seven-week high at 100.60, marking a 0.25% increase. This rise comes as US inflation remains significantly above the Federal Reserve's 2% target for over five years, with headline PCE inflation at 3.7% in July. Furthermore, the US labor market demonstrates continued strength, evidenced by an unemployment rate of 4.1% in August, extending a historic streak of low unemployment.

अमेरिकी डॉलर इंडेक्स 100 के पार चला गया है, जो सात हफ़्तों का सबसे ऊंचा स्तर है। यह 0.25% बढ़कर 100.60 पर पहुँच गया है। ऐसा इसलिए हुआ है क्योंकि अमेरिका में महंगाई अभी भी फेडरल रिज़र्व के 2% लक्ष्य से काफी ऊपर है। जुलाई में PCE महंगाई दर 3.7% थी। साथ ही, अमेरिकी लेबर मार्केट भी मज़बूत बना हुआ है, अगस्त में बेरोज़गारी दर 4.1% रही।
