Bangladesh's SAFF Championship 2026 campaign has been dealt a significant blow with the withdrawal of midfielder Ronan Sullivan. The 20-year-old, who impressed at the SAFF U-20 Championship, informed the Bangladesh Football Federation of his inability to participate just days before their opening match. Sullivan's maiden senior call-up was expected to bolster the team, but his absence, alongside potential absences of Hamza Choudhury and Farhaan Ali Wahid, presents a challenge. Bangladesh is hosting the tournament after eight years and begins its campaign against Bhutan on November 5.
