SC stays Bombay HC order on Raut disqualification

The Supreme Court has stayed a Bombay High Court order that dismissed a plea by corporator Vishakha Raut. Raut challenged a municipal commissioner's letter seeking her disqualification for six years. The apex court noted that the commissioner's request to unseat her was made within five days of her caste certificate being invalidated. The seat will remain vacant until the court decides the matter.
