RBI: Indian Economy Strong Amid Global Headwinds

The Reserve Bank of India reported that the Indian economy performed strongly despite global challenges, including rising oil prices due to the West Asia conflict. Despite these headwinds, India achieved robust GDP growth in the first quarter of 2026-27, with high-frequency indicators in August showing sustained demand across industry and services. The central bank also noted significant growth in bank deposits and credit flow, supporting economic expansion. While financial and external sectors are strengthening, geopolitical tensions and weather uncertainties pose downside risks.

भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक ने बताया कि पश्चिम एशिया में चल रहे संघर्ष के कारण तेल की बढ़ती कीमतों जैसी वैश्विक चुनौतियों के बावजूद भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था ने अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया। इन मुश्किलों के बावजूद, भारत ने 2026-27 की पहली तिमाही में मजबूत GDP वृद्धि हासिल की। अगस्त के आंकड़ों से उद्योग और सेवाओं में लगातार मांग दिखी। बैंक जमा और क्रेडिट प्रवाह में भी अच्छी वृद्धि हुई, जिससे अर्थव्यवस्था को सहारा मिला। हालाँकि, भू-राजनीतिक तनाव और मौसम की अनिश्चितताएँ जोखिम पैदा कर रही हैं।
