BASICON 2026, organised by IGIMS Patna, featured live demonstrations of approximately 15 advanced laparoscopic, endoscopic, and robotic surgeries on its opening day. These procedures were streamed to an auditorium to educate surgeons on cutting-edge techniques. The workshop covered a range of conditions including gallbladder stones, hernia, achalasia cardia, rectal prolapse, bile duct disorders, and colorectal cancer. Surgeons from Delhi, Gujarat, and IGIMS performed and explained various complex operations, with a focus on benefits like reduced blood loss and faster patient recovery.
