South Indian Bank aims for 15-16 per cent credit growth in FY27, with a focus on retail, agriculture, and MSME (RAM) advances expected to grow at 17-18 per cent. Managing Director Mahesh Muralidhar Pai stated this projection is cautious due to potential economic challenges from the ongoing West Asia conflict. The bank reported a 21 per cent year-on-year net profit rise to Rs 426 crore for Q2 FY27. Priorities include strengthening low-cost deposits and shifting lending focus towards RAM segments, with gold loans remaining a key growth area.
