President Accepts Union Minister L Murugan's Resignation Effective Immediately

President Droupadi Murmu has accepted the resignation of Union Minister L Murugan, effective immediately, as advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Murugan held the position of Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs. He had submitted his resignation to PM Modi, expressing a desire to return to Tamil Nadu and strengthen the BJP there. Murugan also intends to resign from his Rajya Sabha membership, despite his term extending until April 2030.

राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की सलाह पर केंद्रीय मंत्री एल. मुरुगन का इस्तीफा तत्काल प्रभाव से स्वीकार कर लिया है। मुरुगन सूचना और प्रसारण राज्य मंत्री और संसदीय कार्य राज्य मंत्री के पद पर थे। उन्होंने पीएम मोदी को अपना इस्तीफा सौंपा था, जिसमें तमिलनाडु लौटकर वहां भाजपा को मजबूत करने की इच्छा जताई थी। मुरुगन अप्रैल 2030 तक राज्यसभा सदस्य बने रहने के बावजूद अपने पद से इस्तीफा देने का इरादा रखते हैं।
