Haldia Petrochemical Expansion Gets Land Push

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has assured Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) of facilitating land for its long-pending petrochemical complex expansion in Haldia. The project requires 175 acres, with 85 acres already arranged by the Haldia Development Authority. The remaining land may be secured from the Haldia Dock Complex of Syama Prasad Mookherjee Port. This development aims to supplement IOC's Haldia refinery operations with downstream petrochemical facilities, replicating a successful model from its Paradip refinery. Land availability has been a key constraint for years.

हल्दिया पेट्रोकेमिकल विस्तार के लिए जमीन का रास्ता साफ

पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी ने इंडियन ऑयल कॉर्पोरेशन (IOC) को हल्दिया में अपने लंबे समय से अटके पेट्रोकेमिकल कॉम्प्लेक्स विस्तार के लिए जमीन उपलब्ध कराने का आश्वासन दिया है। इस प्रोजेक्ट के लिए 175 एकड़ जमीन की जरूरत है, जिसमें से 85 एकड़ जमीन हल्दिया डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी ने पहले ही जुटा ली है। बाकी बची जमीन श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी पोर्ट के हल्दिया डॉक कॉम्प्लेक्स से मिल सकती है। इस कदम का मकसद IOC के हल्दिया रिफाइनरी के काम को पेट्रोकेमिकल सुविधाओं से जोड़ना है, जैसा कि उन्होंने अपने पारादीप रिफाइनरी में भी किया है। सालों से जमीन की कमी इस प्रोजेक्ट में एक बड़ी बाधा रही है।
