A Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) councillor has demanded an impartial inquiry into the locking of the civic body's main gate. The councillor alleges this prevented citizens protesting the city's severe water shortage from entering the headquarters. Approximately 45 to 50 women, facing acute water scarcity and relying on tankers, gathered to voice their grievances. The councillor questioned the legality of the action and sought accountability from officials, including the director of encroachment and security.
