The US Senate has blocked a resolution that would have required a report on Americans killed in the occupied West Bank and Israel's treatment of Palestinian children. The resolution, brought by Senator Chris Van Hollen, failed by a vote of 47-53. It cited a lack of accountability from the Israeli government and the US government regarding the deaths of nine Americans since January 2022. The measure also highlighted the detention and alleged mistreatment of Palestinian-American children.
