KRS Reservoir Inflow Surges After Heavy Rainfall in Catchment Areas
Times of India · environment
The Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS) reservoir in Mandya has experienced a significant surge in water inflow, reaching 11,264 cusecs on Monday,. This increase follows heavy rainfall in the Cauvery basin catchment areas, bringing much-needed relief to farmers. The water level in the reservoir rose to 103.9 feet. While this inflow is a positive development, it remains considerably lower than the levels recorded during the same period last year. The Kabini dam in Mysuru district has also seen an increase in inflow.
