Gauhati Doctor Accused of Sexual Harassment During Medical Exam

Police have registered a case against a doctor at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) following a sexual harassment complaint by a young woman. The woman alleged the doctor insisted on examining her and touched her private parts inappropriately under the guise of a medical check-up. She recounted that the doctor asked her to remove her clothes and proceeded with the examination without anyone else present. The case has been registered under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the doctor is currently being interrogated.

एक युवती द्वारा यौन उत्पीड़न की शिकायत के बाद पुलिस ने गौहाटी मेडिकल कॉलेज एंड हॉस्पिटल (GMCH) के एक डॉक्टर के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है। युवती ने आरोप लगाया कि डॉक्टर ने मेडिकल जांच के बहाने उसे अपनी जांच कराने के लिए मजबूर किया और उसके निजी अंगों को अनुचित तरीके से छुआ। उसने बताया कि डॉक्टर ने उसे कपड़े उतारने के लिए कहा और किसी और की मौजूदगी के बिना जांच शुरू कर दी। भारतीय न्याय संहिता के प्रावधानों के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है, और डॉक्टर से पूछताछ की जा रही है।
