Justice Amit Bansal termed the petition a "wild witch hunt" and questioned the petitioner's locus. The court rejected the plea, noting the petitioner had alternative remedies. This follows a similar dismissal by the Supreme Court.

दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने पूर्व जस्टिस यशवंत वर्मा के घर से मिले बेहिसाब पैसे के मामले में FIR और CBI जांच की मांग वाली याचिका खारिज कर दी है। जस्टिस अमित बंसल ने इस याचिका को "बेतुका पीछा" बताया और याचिकाकर्ता के अधिकार पर सवाल उठाया। कोर्ट ने कहा कि याचिकाकर्ता के पास दूसरे रास्ते हैं। इससे पहले सुप्रीम कोर्ट भी ऐसी ही एक याचिका खारिज कर चुका है।
