Nurse Murdered for Gold Chain in Erode; Co-worker Arrested

A 26-year-old nurse, Uthra, went missing on October 15 while returning home from work in Erode district. Her body was discovered on October 17 near the Vijayamangalam Toll Plaza. Police identified the accused as M Saravanan, a co-worker at a private hospital, who confessed to murdering Uthra to steal her gold thali chain. The stolen jewellery has been recovered, and the accused has been remanded in judicial custody. Further investigations are ongoing.

इरोड जिले में काम से घर लौट रही 26 वर्षीय नर्स उथरा 15 अक्टूबर को लापता हो गई थी। 17 अक्टूबर को विजयामंगलम टोल प्लाजा के पास उसका शव मिला। पुलिस ने आरोपी की पहचान एक प्राइवेट अस्पताल के सहकर्मी एम. सरवनन के रूप में की है, जिसने अपनी सोने की थाली चेन चुराने के लिए उथरा की हत्या करने की बात कबूल की है। चोरी के गहने बरामद कर लिए गए हैं और आरोपी को न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है। आगे की जांच जारी है।
