Sanjay Raut Willing to Apologize to Supreme Court if Needed

UBT leader Sanjay Raut stated that he would not hesitate to apologize to the Supreme Court if he made any inappropriate remarks against the institution. Raut clarified that neither he nor his party intended to commit contempt of court. The Supreme Court had issued notices to Raut and journalist Nikhil Wagle in a contempt case. The court observed that while people criticize the judiciary, they approach it when their rights are threatened.

UBT नेता संजय राउत ने कहा कि अगर उन्होंने संस्था के खिलाफ कोई अनुचित टिप्पणी की है तो उन्हें सुप्रीम कोर्ट से माफी मांगने में कोई हिचकिचाहट नहीं होगी। राउत ने स्पष्ट किया कि न तो उनका और न ही उनकी पार्टी का इरादा अदालत की अवमानना करने का था। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अवमानना के एक मामले में राउत और पत्रकार निखिल वागले को नोटिस जारी किया था। अदालत ने कहा कि लोग न्यायपालिका की आलोचना करते हैं, लेकिन जब उनके अधिकारों को खतरा होता है तो वे उसके पास जाते हैं।
