Karnataka HC Orders GBA to Pay ₹2.77 Crore

The Karnataka High Court has ordered the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) to pay ₹2.77 crore in compensation to a 39-year-old man who became paraplegic after a tree branch fell on him. The court found the GBA negligent for failing to act on prior warnings about the dangerous branch. The man was walking on a public road when the incident occurred in 2024. The court rejected the GBA's defence and awarded interest on the compensation amount.
