Vatican City: World's Smallest Country With Vast Museums and Highest Crime Rate
Hindustan Times · world
Vatican City, the world's smallest country, is only about 100 acres and one-eighth the size of Central Park. Established in 1929, it has fewer than 1,000 residents, and citizenship is granted by appointment, not birth. Despite its size, it boasts nine miles of museums, including the Sistine Chapel, and the largest church ever built, St. Peter's Basilica. Paradoxically, it also holds the highest crime rate globally, largely due to petty theft by tourists.
