Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has requested central assistance following extensive damage caused by Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Arnab. The cyclone, which struck the coast on Wednesday morning, impacted crops, houses, roads, and power infrastructure across several districts. Naidu spoke with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, detailing the cyclone's impact and the state's preparedness measures. He sought continued support from the NDRF and other central agencies, along with an early deputation of a central team to assess the damage.
