Aristotle's School for Alexander Unearthed in Greece

Archaeologists in northern Greece have unearthed ornate, mosaic-decorated halls believed to be part of Alexander the Great's school. The site at Mieza, where scholars claim Aristotle taught a teenage Alexander, has revealed a large area called the Didaskaleion, or "place of teaching." Two banquet halls adjacent to the teaching area also feature mosaic tile floors, mirroring those of Philip II's palace. These discoveries offer a glimpse into elite Macedonian education, combining athletic and instructional spaces.
