Federal Bank Appoints Cognizant Executive Rajesh Varrier as Independent Director

Federal Bank has appointed Rajesh Varrier, Executive Vice President at Cognizant, as an Additional Director in a Non-Executive Independent capacity. His three-year term begins on October 16, 2026, following approval by the bank's Board of Directors. The appointment adheres to regulations like the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. Varrier will not be liable to retire by rotation during his tenure. Federal Bank confirmed he is not related to any bank directors or key personnel and is not debarred from holding such an office.

फेडरल बैंक ने कॉग्निजेंट में एग्जीक्यूटिव वाइस प्रेसिडेंट राजेश वारियर को नॉन-एग्जीक्यूटिव इंडिपेंडेंट क्षमता में एडिशनल डायरेक्टर नियुक्त किया है। बैंक के बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्टर्स की मंजूरी के बाद उनका तीन साल का कार्यकाल 16 अक्टूबर 2026 से शुरू होगा। यह नियुक्ति बैंकिंग रेगुलेशन एक्ट, 1949 जैसे नियमों के अनुसार है। वारियर अपने कार्यकाल के दौरान रोटेशन से रिटायर होने के लिए उत्तरदायी नहीं होंगे। फेडरल बैंक ने पुष्टि की है कि वह किसी भी बैंक निदेशक या प्रमुख व्यक्ति से संबंधित नहीं हैं और न ही ऐसे पद पर रहने से प्रतिबंधित हैं।
