D-Propulse Demonstrates Indigenous Rotating Detonation Engine

IIT-Madras-incubated startup D-Propulse has successfully demonstrated its indigenous Rotating Detonation Engine (RDE) with an aerospike nozzle, achieving Technology Readiness Level-5. The engine produced 5 kN thrust even under reduced air mass flow conditions. This breakthrough signifies a major advancement in indigenous propulsion technology, potentially paving the way for more efficient and powerful aerospace applications in India.

आईआईटी-मद्रास से जुड़े स्टार्टअप डी-प्रोपल्स ने स्वदेशी रोटेटिंग डेटोनेशन इंजन (RDE) का एयरोस्पाइक नोजल के साथ सफल प्रदर्शन किया है। इसने टेक्नोलॉजी रेडीनेस लेवल-5 हासिल कर लिया है। कम हवा के बहाव में भी इंजन ने 5 kN थ्रस्ट पैदा किया। यह भारत के लिए प्रोपल्शन तकनीक में एक बड़ी सफलता है, जो भविष्य में अधिक शक्तिशाली और कुशल एयरोस्पेस अनुप्रयोगों का मार्ग प्रशस्त कर सकती है।
