उत्तर प्रदेश की एक नीट छात्रा ने कथित तौर पर अपने पिता की बंदूक से खुद को गोली मारकर आत्महत्या कर ली। परिवार के मुताबिक, छात्रा पढ़ाई का बहुत सख्त शेड्यूल फॉलो करती थी, अक्सर सुबह 4-5 बजे तक पढ़ती थी और दोपहर 2:30 बजे के आसपास उठती थी। यह दुखद घटना प्रतिस्पर्धी प्रवेश परीक्षाओं में सफल होने के लिए छात्रों पर पड़ने वाले भारी दबाव को उजागर करती है। नीट और इसी तरह की परीक्षाओं से जुड़ा अत्यधिक तनाव कुछ उम्मीदवारों के लिए विनाशकारी साबित हुआ है।
