A 60-year-old businessman from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has lost Rs 17 lakh to cyber fraudsters. He was lured into a fake investment scheme promising high returns on the share market. The accused added him to a WhatsApp group and directed him to a fraudulent website. After transferring Rs 17 lakh, the fraudsters demanded an additional Rs 42.8 lakh, threatening him with penalties. The businessman has filed a complaint, and police are investigating the digital transactions and the accused individuals.

छत्रपति संभाजीनगर के एक 60 वर्षीय व्यापारी साइबर ठगों के हाथों ₹17 लाख गंवा बैठा है। उसे शेयर बाजार में ऊंचे रिटर्न का वादा करने वाली एक फर्जी निवेश योजना में फंसाया गया था। आरोपियों ने उसे एक WhatsApp ग्रुप में जोड़ा और एक धोखाधड़ी वाली वेबसाइट पर निर्देशित किया। ₹17 लाख ट्रांसफर करने के बाद, धोखाधड़ी करने वालों ने जुर्माने की धमकी देते हुए ₹42.8 लाख अतिरिक्त मांगे। व्यापारी ने शिकायत दर्ज कराई है, और पुलिस डिजिटल लेनदेन और आरोपियों की जांच कर रही है।
