Times of India · india
Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will implement a 10% water cut, reducing the city's supply by approximately 74 MLD. To conserve water for essential needs, the NMC will crack down on illegal connections, curb wastage, and restrict non-essential uses. Builders must use recycled water for construction, and potable water will be prohibited for gardening and car washing. The civic body will investigate and take action against unauthorized water users, as nearly 35% of supplied water is currently non-revenue water due to leakages and illegal consumption.
