BRS general secretary R.S. Praveen Kumar has criticised the State Government for closing the case related to the sinking of piers of the Medigadda Barrage. He questioned how the case could be closed without investigating suspicions of explosives being detonated. The case, registered based on a complaint by a project engineer, was allegedly closed in 2025 as 'undetected' due to lack of evidence. Kumar stated that according to the Geneva Pact, dam collapse acts are treated as war crimes.
