उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने घोषणा की है कि राज्य के मान्यता प्राप्त मदरसों में अब शुक्रवार की बजाय रविवार को साप्ताहिक अवकाश रहेगा। इस फैसले का उद्देश्य सभी शैक्षणिक संस्थानों में एक समान व्यवस्था स्थापित करना है। यह कदम उत्तराखंड राज्य अल्पसंख्यक शिक्षा प्राधिकरण द्वारा औपचारिक रूप से मान्यता प्राप्त मदरसों पर लागू होता है, जो अब विभिन्न अल्पसंख्यक समुदायों के लिए एक ही राज्य-निगरानी वाले ढांचे के तहत काम करते हैं। निर्धारित मानकों को पूरा करने में विफल रहने वाले संस्थानों को बंद कर दिया जाएगा, जो विनियमित शिक्षा के प्रति सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता को मजबूत करता है।
