Man Booked For Abetment After Wife's Suicide in Surat Over Financial Demands

A 25-year-old man has been booked for abetment to suicide in Surat after his wife died by suicide. The woman's father alleged that her husband, Shankar Dalai, repeatedly harassed her for money and subjected her to physical and mental torture. He specifically demanded a share of flood relief money her mother had received after her death. The victim had been facing domestic problems for a prolonged period before she hanged herself. Police have registered a case under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

सुरत में 25 वर्षीय व्यक्ति पर उसकी पत्नी की आत्महत्या के बाद आत्महत्या के लिए उकसाने का मामला दर्ज किया गया है। महिला के पिता ने आरोप लगाया कि उसके पति, शंकर दलाई, ने पैसे के लिए उसे बार-बार परेशान किया और शारीरिक व मानसिक यातनाएं दीं। उसने विशेष रूप से बाढ़ राहत राशि में हिस्से की मांग की थी जो उसकी माँ को उसकी मृत्यु के बाद मिली थी। पीड़ित महिला आत्महत्या करने से पहले लंबे समय से घरेलू समस्याओं का सामना कर रही थी। पुलिस ने भारतीय न्याय संहिता की धारा 108 के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है।
