Jharkhand Durga Puja Organisers Face Rain Alert Amidst Monsoon Retreat

Times of India · india

Durga Puja organisers in Jharkhand are on edge as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. Although the monsoon is retreating, intermittent rain could disrupt final preparations like pandal construction, decoration, and electrical installations. The IMD forecasts thunderstorms with winds of 30-40 kmph, raising concerns about potential damage to materials, waterlogging, and delays in finishing work. Organisers are implementing waterproofing and drainage measures while closely monitoring weather forecasts to ensure smooth festival preparations.
