Six students tragically drowned in Hyderabad's Neredu Cheruvu lake in Patancheru while participating in the Ganesh idol immersion ceremony on Wednesday. The students reportedly ventured too far into the water body, unaware of its depth, and were unable to swim back. Local residents and authorities were unable to reach them in time. This devastating incident has cast a shadow over the auspicious Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, leaving families and the community in deep mourning.
