Patna's Chajjubagh Sarbojanin Durga Puja Committee, also known as PWD Durga Puja, is celebrating its 105th year by focusing on traditional Bengali heritage. The theme, 'Bonedi Bari Dalan,' recreates ancestral courtyards of Bengal's zamindar families, reflecting the puja's century-long legacy. The pandal features a red-and-white scheme with hand-drawn alpana, bamboo fans, and traditional Bengali windows. The 10-foot idol, crafted by Nimai Pal, has an 'ekchala' frame symbolizing unity. Biodegradable materials are used for the idol and pandal, with festivities including homemade food stalls, musical performances, and traditional rituals.
