Youth Arrested in Kolkata for Objectionable Social Media Posts Against CM Suvendu Adhikari

Kolkata police arrested a youth named Akash Sarkar on Monday for allegedly posting objectionable content about Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on social media. The arrest followed a complaint lodged at the Nagerbazar police station. Police stated that Sarkar had been circulating misleading and obscene information about CM Adhikari and other BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was produced before the Barrackpore court and remanded to three days of police custody for further investigation into his social media activities.

कोलकाता पुलिस ने सोमवार को आकाश सरकार नाम के एक युवक को मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी के बारे में सोशल मीडिया पर आपत्तिजनक सामग्री पोस्ट करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया। यह गिरफ्तारी नागरबाजार पुलिस स्टेशन में दर्ज कराई गई शिकायत के बाद हुई। पुलिस ने बताया कि सरकार मुख्यमंत्री अधिकारी और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी सहित अन्य भाजपा नेताओं के बारे में भ्रामक और अश्लील जानकारी फैला रहा था। उसे बैरकपुर अदालत में पेश किया गया, जहां से सोशल मीडिया गतिविधियों की आगे की जांच के लिए उसे तीन दिन की पुलिस हिरासत में भेज दिया गया।
