Erumely-Sabarimala Trek Route Prepared For Pilgrim Rush

The Forest department is accelerating preparations along the traditional Erumely-Sabarimala trekking route, clearing paths and installing basic facilities ahead of the upcoming pilgrimage season. Work is underway to clear stretches from Erumely to Kalaketti and Azhuthakadavu to Pampa, with prefabricated toilets and service centres being set up. Pilgrims will be allowed entry during specific time windows to ensure safety within the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Forest personnel and elephant squads will be deployed for security, and timings may be revised based on pilgrim inflow.

वन विभाग आगामी तीर्थयात्रा मौसम से पहले पारंपरिक एरुमेली-सबरीमाला ट्रेकिंग मार्ग पर तैयारियाँ तेज कर रहा है, रास्तों को साफ कर रहा है और बुनियादी सुविधाएँ स्थापित कर रहा है। एरुमेली से कलाकेट्टी और अझुथाकडावु से पम्पा तक के हिस्सों को साफ करने का काम चल रहा है, जहाँ प्रीफैब्रिकेटेड शौचालय और सेवा केंद्र स्थापित किए जा रहे हैं। पेरियार टाइगर रिजर्व के भीतर सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए तीर्थयात्रियों को विशिष्ट समय-सीमा के दौरान प्रवेश की अनुमति दी जाएगी। सुरक्षा के लिए वन कर्मियों और हाथी दस्तों को तैनात किया जाएगा, और तीर्थयात्रियों के आगमन के आधार पर समय-सीमा में संशोधन किया जा सकता है।
