Robotics Startup Origin Secures $20 Million To Build Autonomous Construction Robots

Robotics startup Origin has raised $20 million in a funding round co-led by Accel and Zacua Ventures. The capital will be used to deploy its OG-1 robot, build a fleet of construction robots, and support large-scale pilots in the US and Europe. Founded in 2025, Origin aims to address labor shortages by automating interior construction tasks, claiming its robots can work three times faster than humans. The company plans to deploy 150 robots by the end of 2027 and is exploring international pilots.
