UP Orders Scrutiny of Voter Forms After Pilibhit Irregularities Allegations

This action follows allegations of electoral roll manipulation in Pilibhit, where voter details were reportedly changed without altering EPIC and serial numbers. The UP CEO's office found irregularities in 10,470 entries in Pilibhit, leading to legal action against officials and dismissal of a computer assistant. The scrutiny aims to prevent eligible voters from being excluded from the electoral roll.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी नवदीप रिणवा ने 10 अप्रैल से सभी 403 विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में कंप्यूटर सहायकों द्वारा जमा किए गए सभी वोटर फॉर्म (6, 7 और 8) की जांच का आदेश दिया है। यह कार्रवाई पीलीभीत में चुनावी सूची में हेरफेर के आरोपों के बाद की गई है, जहाँ कथित तौर पर EPIC और सीरियल नंबर बदले बिना वोटर का विवरण बदल दिया गया था। यूपी सीईओ के कार्यालय ने पीलीभीत में 10,470 एंट्रीज में गड़बड़ी पाई, जिसके बाद अधिकारियों के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई और एक कंप्यूटर सहायक को बर्खास्त किया गया। इस जांच का मकसद योग्य मतदाताओं को चुनावी सूची से बाहर होने से रोकना है।
