Drug Quality Reports Won't Be Publicly Available After Committee Rejects Proposal

News18 Hindi · india

DCC has rejected a proposal to make pharmaceutical companies' batch quality testing reports publicly accessible on a digital platform. The proposal aimed to increase transparency by allowing consumers and healthcare professionals to view Certificates of Analysis (CoA) for medicines. However, the DCC, a regulatory advisory body comprising central and state drug regulators, decided against mandating the upload of these reports. This decision means that detailed batch-specific quality information will not be readily available to the public, potentially limiting transparency in drug quality.
