Hyderabad Businessman Who Died by Suicide Hid Past Suicide Attempt

A 45-year-old Hyderabad businessman, Md Aleemuddin, who died by suicide with his licensed firearm, had cleared all required checks, including a medical fitness assessment. His arms licence, issued in 2016-17 and renewed, was supported by a doctor’s certificate. However, an earlier suicide attempt had not been reported to the police. Police noted that Aleemuddin had recently faced health and financial problems. He is survived by his wife and six children. The police recommend licence cancellation when firearms are misused.

45 साल के हैदराबाद के कारोबारी Md Aleemuddin ने अपने लाइसेंसी हथियार से खुदकुशी कर ली। उन्होंने मेडिकल फिटनेस असेसमेंट समेत सभी ज़रूरी जांचें पास कर ली थीं। उनका आर्म्स लाइसेंस 2016-17 में जारी हुआ था और रिन्यू भी हो चुका था, जिसके लिए डॉक्टर का सर्टिफ़िकेट भी था। लेकिन, पहले खुदकुशी की कोशिश की बात पुलिस को नहीं बताई गई थी। पुलिस ने बताया कि Aleemuddin हाल ही में स्वास्थ्य और पैसों की तंगी से जूझ रहे थे। उनकी पत्नी और छह बच्चे हैं। पुलिस का कहना है कि हथियार के गलत इस्तेमाल पर लाइसेंस रद्द कर देना चाहिए।
