Southern Railway has initiated an inquiry following the derailment of seven goods wagons in a yard near Jolarpet Railway Station in Tirupattur. The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on November 1, when a 38-wagon goods train was being moved from a loop line to the main line. Officials stated that no major disruption occurred as the affected route had minimal traffic. Train services were restored by 12:30 a.m., following the efforts of senior officials and engineering crews. This marks the second such incident in the area recently.
