Veteran actor Anant Nag will receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2024, recognizing his five-decade career in cinema and television. The 78-year-old actor, known for his work in Kannada films, Hindi cinema, and the series ‘Malgudi Days’, will be honoured at the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony. Nag has appeared in over 300 films across multiple languages and also served in the Karnataka legislature.
