US Senator Marco Rubio stated that decisions regarding Ukraine's access to Starlink satellite internet are the responsibility of SpaceX and CEO Elon Musk, not the White House. This comes amid reports that Musk ordered a slowdown of Starshield, a military version of Starlink crucial for Ukraine's defense. While some US officials and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy's advisor suggested White House involvement, Rubio emphasized it's a commercial contract matter. Ukraine's Ministry of Defence confirmed services resumed on October 15 after a temporary restriction impacted drone guidance systems.
