Jagan Reddy Calls Naidu's BC Reservation Promise a Fraud

YSR Congress Party President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of betraying Backward Classes (BCs) with a fraudulent promise of reservations. Reddy stated that the Supreme Court's dismissal of the state's plea on October 9th exposed Naidu's deceptive promises, including the Super Six and cancelled schemes. The High Court had previously set aside government orders granting 34% reservation in rural local bodies and 33.33% in urban local bodies, deeming them to exceed the 50% threshold.
