Congress confident Vijay will back Rahul for PM

Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president B. Manickam Tagore expressed confidence that TVK leader and Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay will endorse Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as the INDIA bloc’s Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2029 Lok Sabha polls. Tagore stated that slogans projecting Vijay as a future PM are no longer being raised. He also dismissed the DMK's potential to form a third front, predicting they would secure only third place in elections.

तमिलनाडु कांग्रेस कमेटी के अध्यक्ष बी. मणिक्कम टैगोर को भरोसा है कि टीवीके नेता और मुख्यमंत्री सी. जोसेफ विजय, 2029 के लोकसभा चुनावों के लिए INDIA गठबंधन के प्रधानमंत्री पद के उम्मीदवार के तौर पर कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी का समर्थन करेंगे। टैगोर ने कहा कि विजय को भविष्य का पीएम बताने वाले नारे अब नहीं लग रहे हैं। उन्होंने डीएमके के तीसरे मोर्चे की संभावना को भी खारिज कर दिया, और कहा कि वे चुनावों में सिर्फ तीसरे स्थान पर रहेंगे।
