Afghan Taliban Minister Seeks Dialogue With Pakistan Amid Rising Military Tensions

Hindustan Times · world

Afghan Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi stated on Monday that dialogue and diplomacy are the keys to resolving issues between Afghanistan and Pakistan. He accused Pakistan's military of using only military language and engaging in aggression, violating international laws. Muttaqi also alleged Pakistan has weaponized transit routes, refugees, and students, while massing troops near the border. Afghanistan desires neither mutual accusations nor prolonged conflict but asserts its legitimate right to self-defence against any aggression. The comments come amid escalating military tensions over militancy concerns.
