Speculation is rife that Salman Khan might star in the sequel to the 1993 cult classic film 'Khalnayak', titled 'Khalnayak Returns'. Sources suggest filmmakers are developing a pivotal role for a police officer with the superstar in mind. This character is envisioned as a kind-hearted officer who will aid Sanjay Dutt's character in the film. Director Subhash Ghai, however, has stated that it is too early to confirm any casting decisions as the script is still under development.
