A key proposal involves making ITC easier by allowing refunds for taxes paid on plant, machinery, and input services over five years. A major change will also address supplier defaults, preventing honest buyers from losing credit if their supplier evades taxes.

जीएसटी काउंसिल 'जीएसटी 2.0' के नाम से जाने जाने वाले महत्वपूर्ण सुधारों पर चर्चा करने के लिए तैयार है, जिसका उद्देश्य कर नियमों को सरल बनाना और कंपनियों के पास फंसे हजारों करोड़ रुपये को जारी करना है। एक मुख्य प्रस्ताव में पांच साल से अधिक समय तक प्लांट, मशीनरी और इनपुट सेवाओं पर भुगतान किए गए करों के लिए रिफंड की अनुमति देकर आईटीसी को आसान बनाना शामिल है। इसके अतिरिक्त, काउंसिल कर्मचारी बीमा, खानपान और वाहन लीज के लिए कर क्रेडिट फिर से शुरू कर सकती है। एक बड़ा बदलाव आपूर्तिकर्ता के डिफ़ॉल्ट को भी संबोधित करेगा, जिससे ईमानदार खरीदारों को क्रेडिट खोने से रोका जा सकेगा यदि उनका आपूर्तिकर्ता करों से बचता है।
